NASHVILLE! Today is the last day of the Punk Rock Flea Market at EastSide Bowl. Get your tush out there and support local artists and music! Don’t forget to bring cereal boxes to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank. They are legit one of my favorite non-profit organizations that help with food insecurity.

Upon entering EastSide Bowl you need to check out Shadow Pages which is a mobile bookshop. Both of these full time attorneys that have a love and passion for literature created a whimsical escape for the people of Nashville.

I was also really excited to see Press Play Video there! If you’re a cinema lover and all about physical media you need to stop by this mobile video store! There is a wide range of genera’s and you can find new, used blue rays and DVDs. Growing up in the BlockBuster Era and watching it fade took away the weekend magic. I miss physical media stores like Coconuts, Tower Records, Sam Goody, Borders, Hollywood Video just to name a few.

Press Play video has restored that magic for me and hopefully for you as well! On July 18th Press Play Video and Crazy Gnome Brewery will be hosting a Mortal Combat Tournament. You can sign up for the event on their website. I can’t wait to be able to peruse around Press Play Video more because I’m on a hunt for the 1996 Romeo + Juliet. I thift most of my physical media which stay tuned on my instagram for my treasures.

The Punk Rock Flea Market is for all ages and my littles loved it so much! The endless talent that was displayed was immaculate. I love markets like this and supporting local artists. There were handmade dolls, shirts, plates/cups, key chains, pillows, records, coffee, art and so much more! Don’t forget to grab fresh squeezed lemonade, it was delicious! The entire area besides the bowling lanes were filled with talented crafts!

Even Nashville Nightmare was there and if you are a makeup artist, scare actor, security or EMT they are hiring! Looks like I might have a chance to escape the food industry here in the near future! If you’re looking to adopt Pittie In Pink has the cutest pit bulls that are looking for their forever homes! Even if you can’t adopt right now you can also donate to help out rescued pups.

As we made our way around we headed to the main venue which had even more vendors and live music! We were able to see The Fishwives rock out and Trash Devils.

It was a wonderful weekend spent submerged in the local creative market. Both of my kids were in awe in all of the artistry and it really inspired them to create which I’m always encouraging them to do. My son really enjoyed the music. I wish we could’ve stayed longer to see more of the musicians preform but we had a Pro Symphony Wrestling match to attend down at 6th and Peabody which was a free all ages event. I really hope you’re able to attend the Nashville Punk Rock Flea Market, you won’t want to miss it!
